Dear Michael, Just received November 2000 issue of QST, excellent write-up on Ham University. Could not agree more with Mr. Miller, Ham University is the best, especially for CW. Ham University certainly got me from entry level to Extra. Thanks 73, Bill KC2BLN - (unsolicited -- quoted with permission) |

Review in QRZ posted by wpeloqui on Sunday April 29 Mathew, KD6MSI writes "After almost ten years of being a ham, I have finally gotten up the fortitude to learn Morse Code. Well, truth be told, I really am enjoying the process. I have Ham University to thank for this. Let me just start by saying that I *love* this program. Ham University is the premier Windows program for helping you pass your FCC Exams.
Ham University contains all the questions for all three FCC written exams. You can browse the questions, quiz yourself on your weak areas, or set yourself a mock exam.
Ham University provides you with three ways to learn Morse code. First there are formal lessons which introduce the code one letter at a time. Then there are exercises -- a set of typical transmissions to practice on (you set the speed). And finally there is Pentode®. This highly motivating game (inspired by Tetris) makes acquiring the code effortless.
Requirements: You will need a PC with a 386 or higher running Win95, Win98, Win-ME, WinNT, Win2003 or WinXP plus a sound card.

As an 18-year old aspiring ham, I thought I would never learn CW. Thankfully, I found your program, and I must say this is the funnest I've had with code ever! It's coming to me so easily and quickly, I recommend this program to all young hams! Thanks a million! 73 Aaron Hahn - (unsolicited -- quoted with permission) |

I passed my General Class test yesterday after using your software in conjunction with my ham class. I have passed both the Technician and the General test in less than two months practicing with Ham University. This program is a joy to use! I have decided to take the Extra Class test next month.
